“Will this work with a mini audio output from my PC going to 2 sets of bare wires connected to the transmitter? Is it required to use the wires supplied to connect the speakers to the receiver or can lighter wire be used for wider spacing of speakers?”

• I did not use the supplied wires, I used adapter to RCA Jacks on the Transmitter and 3.5mm on the receiver

• You can use whichever wires you want. I used longer speaker wires for my set up
