“in using this unit can you put speakers like 12 foot apart can you use this unit so that 1 speaker is on 1 side of the room and the other speaker is on the other side of the room,,,,,,,,,with out having to run like 12 foot of wire?? the wire included is 2 foot,,,,,does this mean you have to have your speakers next to each other.”

You can separate your speakers across the room by using longer speaker wires. You're not required to use the short wires that come with the Rocketfish unit. You are required to connect the Rocketfish to the two speakers with wire, however. The wireless connection is from your amplifier to the Rocketfish box.
