“No sound or Pioneer receiver overload I have a PioneerVSX-516 multi-channel receiver. After hooking up the rocketfish, I either get no sound from the rear speakers or the Pioneer says overload and shuts down. When the speakers are hooked directly to the Pioneer, they work fine.”

It sounds like you have the transmitter and reciver connected backwards. The transmitter (uses the DC power connection and has no volume dial) is the part you connect to your Pioneer reciever. the reciver is the smaller other part that rocketfish package and connects to your speakers, as its also got 30Watts x2 amplification connecting that part to your Pioneer is likely whats causing your "Overload" sicne both the Pioneer and Rocketfish Recivers are outputting wattage!
