I suppose it might be nice to do so but I'm not sure why you would. I thought abut it briefly for my side surrounds but doing so I would still have to run a wire from the Rocketfish across the room to the other speaker which would defeat it's purpose. Using two separate transmitters, one pushing the right channel and the other pushing the left channel to two separte receivers to the side channels works very well. I was told by the retail clerk that you couldn't use two receivers for one transmitter. I never listen much to the kids at Best Buy but since I ruled out that configuration it didn't matter.
