“Can I connect the outputs of this Rocketfish Speaker Kit receiver to an amplifier to get a little more sound power out of this unit for the rear speakers of my home theater system ? By doing so should I expect a little more distortion ? Thanks !”

yes you can, just do not over drive the amp with the built in amp on the receiver. I have mine attached to a Bluetooth system

Rocketfish "Wireless Transmitter" is what is connected to the stereo Reciever via speaker wire from the Left and Right Rear Speaker Output terminals Think about it if 1 you had two translators who spoke language B. Here is an example: Stereo Receiver speaks A to Wireless Transmitter Wireless Transmitter speaks B to Wireless Reciever Wireless Reciever speaks C to rear speakers.
