“Where can I buy the dust filter bags I have done extensive research on this vacuum and it has great reviews and ratings. However, no one seems to carry the filter bags. Even Vacmasters website is sold out. Is there another brand that is compatible with this model?”

The dust filter bags for the VF408 are available on the Vacmaster website as Model# VFDB. You can find the 3-pack at www.vacmaster.com/model/vfdb for $9.99. If you prefer to shop in a store, you can find them at Sears. They'll be under the Craftsman brand as Item# 00941157000P/Model# 41157. I hope this helps.
