You can charge it while using it . It won’t affect anything….. I do it all the time but Charging it while it’s off , the device will automatically come on to show you its being charged but won’t actually turn all the way on if that makes sense… I’ll post a picture! But Mind you, in the picture my device was COMPLETELY OFF but turned on to show this. Hopes this helps.
