• A:Answer I get 3 times the speed on this as compared to my former Netgear/AT&T hotspot device. So it made it well worth the $ to buy this and activate it. You'll get all kinds of answers on actual speeds, but for me, it was how much 'better' it was than the AT&T alternative, even though I use AT&T for cell phones. It's faster than tethering to your phone, which was becoming useless. I need it for work for times when I have to do remote work. I recommend, but don't expect anything close to wi-fi at home, etc.
