There are multiple possible reasons why a recording may come up short. As a simple start, try connecting the VIDBOX capture device to different USB ports on the computer. Please also make sure that the Save Location being used in the VIDBOX app is not set to use flash media or a cloud/network drive location - those can create issues with recording a complete video.
