The Software and the Hardware are supposed to work in conjunction with each other, it’s an input box going to usb. I don’t think you’ll have a problem with Final Cut Pro X. It should receive a signal if your source is on. Then select through FCPX what video source you have which will be your Vidbox. You will see it in the display. Then start recording into FCPX until done. Then you can edit the video or play or whatever you wish.

You can certainly install the driver for the device and try to use the device in a different capture software, but we will not be able to provide any support for its use in other applications.
