“My key fob will light up when it’s started. However, it heat doesn’t actually turn on and the car stops when I press the break to turn the car on. I have a push start car. Am I doing something wrong?”

If you want the heat on when you use your remote starter, when you park your car turn the heat on. That way when you start it with the remote ithe heatwill be on. As far as shutting off when you step on the brake that is normal. To keep it from doing that you must put the key in the ignition and turn it to the run position before you step on the brake.
