The remote works with the VIPER system. That means that if you are putting a Remote Starter System, it will work with it. Nevertheless, it will not replace the Remote part only, for a system that could be already installed in your vehicle. And, YES, any TWO WAY REMOTE STARTER will have a flashing light in the remote, indicating that the vehicle received the command, and the engine started. It will even keep flashing and will make a noise when the engine stops running. I have used VIPPER (TWO WAY) Remote Starter Systems in all my vehicles. And the installation in life warranty.
