While the Vitamix container is built to withstand high temperature, it should never be used to blend any boiling or close to boiling liquids, nor any foods that are too hot to eat in their current state. This can cause crazing in your container, which is a result of something being blended inside the container that is of a very high temperature (i.e. coffee, boiling water, hot oil, freshly cooked ingredients right from the stove/oven).
