You can't surf the web like on a computer or tablet using just the remote supplied with the TV. It does not have browser functionality, but it does have computer interface. With the remote, one can access the Internet content channels that Vizio selected and no more. These channels are Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, IHeart Radio, Xumo, VUDU, Fandango, Haystack TV, and Pluto. The first 4 most people are familiar with. The last five provide a surprising amount of content. Multiple news channels, free movies, pay to view movies, special interest channels, and streaming music. This TV comes with Chromecast built in. With Chromecast, anything you access on your computer can be viewed wirelessly on the TV. This is easiest when working with programs and applications that are Chromecast enabled like YouTube. For programs that aren't Chromecast enabled you can view anything from the Internet on this TV as long as Goggle is the browser you are using and you select "cast" from options.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it has wifi, you just have to configure your network and that's it. You can surf the we with the integrated browser, but typing can be a pain. If you are planning to have interaction with the websites, I's use a laptop connect via HDMI.
