“I am looking for a tv that we can access Netflix and Youtube on. I have read the other questions and need to know if you have to use your smartphone to actually access these aps on the TV. If not, how do you access these aps on the tv directly.”

Hello mtnmama57, those apps are accessible with the TV remote on the SmartCast home page or input. After accessing the apps you might need a mobile device or computer to link those accounts to the apps on the TV.
