I bought this tv for my mom who has no internet connection. I subscribe to xfinity cable and purchased the hdmi cable. I was told to plug into the red white and blue ports and tried both hdmi connections and the tv just scans for channels-no network null

I bought the same tv for my mom. If you use the HDMI cable directly from the cable box to the HDMI 1 on the tv and the cable is connected to the box you shouldn't need the red white and blue wires. Make sure the tv is set on HDMI 1 with the input button. That should work.

If you are connecting this television to your cable box using an HDMI cable the red, white and yellow cable would not be needed. You would need to change your television input to the HDMI port you are on and you should be a signal. If this does not work please contact our customer support at 877-878-4946 for assistance with your setup.
