I bought the same tv for my mom. If you use the HDMI cable directly from the cable box to the HDMI 1 on the tv and the cable is connected to the box you shouldn't need the red white and blue wires. Make sure the tv is set on HDMI 1 with the input button. That should work. Good Luck Jim

You would need to change your television input to the HDMI port you are on and you should be a signal.
