• It works for us, though we don't take it out all that often. The resolution is very good.

• Unless you have good shelter from the weather, I don't know that I would chance taking my receiver out for tailgating. If you must do it, though, I think the Vizio is up to the task with excellent video fidelity even in bright sunlight, provided, of course, you do have some shade, available.
