It's the number of pixels it has. The more pixels the better the picture quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A 2160p TV has 4 times as many pixels as a standard 1080p TV. Think of your TV like a grid with rows and columns. You have 1080 rows high and 1920 columns wide. A 4K TV approximately doubles the number of pixels high and the number of pixels wide equaling out to be about 8 million pixels. The reason it is called 4K is that the images are around 4000 pixels wide. Thanks!-Jesse
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's actually pretty nice if you have the hardware to drive the graphics. I noticed a very significant improvement from the 1080p display I'd been using as a gaming display. I have a pretty serious computer running my gaming display. I certainly could tell the difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm reminded of a certain scene in Spinal Tap... You know how 1080p is a good picture? Well, 2160p divided by 2, is 1080...so 2160p is 1080p times 2...i.e. a better picture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Much faster picture resolution, no slur
