It does have to have line of sight, but the range seems pretty wide. I have mine set up on the other side of a large room and I don't have any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can be placed anywhere within range and does not require line-of-sight. I'm unsure what the range is, but mine is placed behind the couch approximately 20-25 feet away from the soundbar.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The subwoofer does not need direct sight. I put my subwoofer inside a coat closet which was directly behind the living room couch across the room. The subwoofer was to loud outside the closet so it worked great.
