• Yes, as long as all the power cords are plugged in (Subwoofer and sound bar have power cords) you can connect to Bluetooth (with phone to play music, ECT).

• It will work from other devices, but the volume constantly changes. If you are looking to use this for Pandora or listen from your phone etc. Make another choice, the sound is great but the changing volume will drive you insane.
