“I am evaluating whether or not to buy this system and I need to understand what's said that you can put the surround speakers in front, on either side of the soundbar which it says this is ideal for smaller space, how does this work??? As good as behind?”

It’s sounds ok with the all the speakers and sub woofer up front. You lose the surround sound effect though. It could be the size of my room that effects that though. My living room is big enough to do the speakers and subwoofer behind. It is much better if you can put them behind you.
