“I've plugged into HDM1-ARC on my Samsung - NU8000 Series 4K UHD TV; cannot get sound from TV. Does work with iphone music/Bluetooth. What else do i need to do? Change any settings on the TV? TIA”

The TV should detect that you plugged in a new device...aka a sound bar. If not, then you have to use your TV remote to change the sound settings to the correct output ...aka HDMI1-ARC. I hope this helps.
