• No it will not. You need a table at least 40.7in long.

• I have a smallish table as well but ordered a tv mount that sits on the table instead of hanging from the wall. The mount is perfect for our needs. It is height adjustable with a heavy glass base that isn't going to get knocked over. It was somewhere around $20 and well worth it. My new 50 incher isn't getting knocked over by a flick of my great dane's tail.
