“I know the TV has Ethernet. When connected , can I know for sure that the Wifi and Blue Tooth transmitters on the TV itself are not emitting a signal?”

The Ethernet connection will turn off the wireless connection however the Bluetooth connection will still be active during intitial startup for connecting a mobile device to the television using the SmartCast application.
