“I am considering purchasing this for my elderly mother-in-law. She is not tech savvy. If we select ‘live’ over the air TV, will it start back up there the next day after she powers it off and back on? Using a home screen, will not work”

The television should default to the last input used when being powered back on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This particular TV starts up and defaults to the Home screen, instead of whatever was showing when it was turned off. Only our much older Vizio SmartTV starts up with whatever was left on when it was turned off. I don't know if the newer TV has a setting which would allow you to tell it to start up where it was turned off, rather than defaulting to the Home screen.
