Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There's been an issue with the most recent update Vizio sent out. They're aware of the issues, but for now unfortunately I have to reset my TV to get sound if it's been off for a while. You can try changing the volume as well and sometimes it kicks in. I use an external soundbar via RCA jacks and keep the actual TV volume at 0 but press it down once and the volume kicks in. Also check your sound settings and switch between fixed and variable as sometimes different devices require different settings.
