I completely agree, 300 nits is very disappointing. Unless a product is over 500 nits, you will not even notice any difference between SDR and HDR. Selling a TV that is only 300 nits and advertising it as having HDR and Dolby Vision makes no sense at all, because the disappointing 300 nit brightness level will never allow you to take advantage of the HDR or Dolby Vision features that rely so much on brightness. Also, the way this product is marketed as a "Quantum" TV is even more disappointing, because 300 nits is terrible for such technology.
