Great TV & price but documentation could be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a beautiful TV. The picture quality is awesome and it is a offered at a very competitive price point. I got it for $650, before Christmas. The built in apps, like Pluto TV have a lot of free channels, that do not require a cable TV connection. I had this TV connected to my WiFi and was watching stuff, before I had it plugged into my cable box. My negative comments are all documentation related: 1) There is no manual in the box with the TV. The manual can be accessed via the TV's built-in menu, but if you have a problem hooking it up and need to look something up to get it working, that can present some problems. You can download a manual from the Vizio support site, but be forewarned that it covers 3 models, so the info can be confusing. 2) There seemed to be some confusion on the VESA bracket size. (maybe on my part). Luckily I the wall mount I bought could support its size. 3) There are no pictures of the back panel connections in the manuals. Like I mentioned in #1, since the manual covers three different models (with various options) they just say what connections could be available. If you use a wall mount, once you mount it, you might not be able to read the port descriptions. (My wall mount did not have 'Full Motion', only limited tilt. Which port is the HDMI 1, 2 and 3?) I had to remove it from the wall mount to be able to determine the optimal connection ports. It is a good idea to take a picture of the back of the unit, before you mount it on the wall for reference. (I included a picture of the back panel of mine with this review.)

Great picture, way beyond the $650 BF Price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is just a great looking tv. I got it yesterday, spent a bit of time calibrating it (I still have a Disney WOW disc that I use w/ the Blue gel) and honestly it looks killer. Picture quality out of the box was fairly accurate, so didn't take much. People on every site keep whinging about dimming zones and whatnot, stop reading too much into it. It's got even brightness, the blacks are black, the whites are white, the colors are vibrant. Note: I don't use the interface. I don't use the speakers. I have an NVIDIA shield TV running into an AV receiver that handles all of my upscaling and apps, so it's basically a dumb monitor for me. For $650 you can't beat the price. If you don't like the interface and it's slow just get a roku, chromecast, fire stick, or SHIELD and don't worry about it.

Happy with my purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like my tv. The picture is really great. The only issue I have is the volume button. It doesn’t adjust correctly. Perhaps when I get a sound bar it will be fine. Other than the sound button on the remote the tv is great.

Same but different
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Better than the V series that’s for sure. Not much of a Picture difference but you can tell. Same TV parts , same Remote and TV border just for lighting zones but really does make a difference.

Q: QuestionThe model show above and the description in the Best Buy ad projects the TV as "coming soon"...what it does not say is - this is a left over 2020 or will it be a 2021 model? 2020 or is it a 2021? The answer is...sounds like a a game show host.
Asked by Cecil.
- A:Answer I personally called Vizio on this model and got some very good info on this model that is not listed in description section. First off this is a new 2021 model. Next it has Wifi built in. Finally compared to its higher end brothers the M8 and P series the local dimming zones are all different. This model has only 30 while the M8 has 90 and the P has 200. I personally bought this one only because my portal size is max of 70" or I would have gone for the P series of 75"

Q: QuestionWill this tv support 60fps@4k for gaming?
Asked by YeeOleSlappy.
- A:Answer If you just want 60 FPS, then virtually any 4k TV will work, including cheaper models like the Vizio V Series. You don't need HDMI 2.1 for that, only HDMI 2.0 which is standard on all modern TV's. HDMI 2.1 has enough bandwidth for 4k@120hz. Also, while this does have HDMI 2.1 ports, it's still a 60hz panel so you can't take advantage of 4k@120. You can still use VRR and such though. But if 120hz is what you're really after, then you're gonna have to go for a higher end TV that has both a 120hz panel and HDMI 2.1 like the Vizio PQ/PQX Series, Sony X900H, etc. LG's NanoCell 85 series is by far the cheapest TV in that category.

Q: QuestionDoes it support Bluetooth speakers/headsets?
Asked by TVWatcher.
- A:Answer I do not think so. Not mentioned as having blue tooth in the manual.

Q: QuestionHow many dimming zones does this model have?
Asked by TVguy.
- A:Answer Unfortunately, I think that is a general "M Series" answer for most models... But this model appears to not have that feature. As you can see in the "Tech Specs" profile on that website, there is no dimming zones listed. And you'd think it may just be an oversight, but when you compare it to other more expensive M Series models, they do show local dimming zones. Thanks for posting the website though! That was very helpful.

Q: QuestionHi I would like to know what the difference between these two models is # V705-H13 M706x-H3 because when I look at the specs they look like pretty much the same TV
Asked by Brian.
- A:Answer Hello Brian, while the two models are similar in many ways, a major difference between the two models is that the model M706x-H3 has the Quantum Color technology where as the V705-H13 does not.

Q: QuestionHow wide entertainment center needed to set on
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hello, The distance between the outer edges of the stands is 54.87" so as long as the entertainment stand is wider than that it will work.

Q: QuestionSo I just purchased this TV a few days ago, getting a little frustrated with the calibration, and can't really find any tips online. Anyone know the best calibration settings for SDR and HDR? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Asked by Rueten.
- A:Answer Rtings has a pretty comprehensive breakdown of dozens of TVs and made a guide for the P-Series that can be used as a loose guideline for decent baseline settings. However since the TV’s are not identical there will be some portions in their video that aren’t applicable. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/vizio/m-series-quantum-2019/settings
