“Do the surround sound speakers have to be placed behind the viewing position?”

Hello DTown: I have found so far the way I have it set up (see picture) with the room I have it's actually more than enough for me. Sitting on the couch with the surround speakers facing the couch and the sub on creates a very immersive experience. But definitely use their App to adjust your settings as the remote is not the most useful. I actually use it more for the center speaker for dialogue as I have my neighbors bedroom behind my couch. I try not to blast them out, but it can if you want it to. :)
