• A:Answer The Vornado Portal is a window fan with an exhaust option. It does not have a filter as an Air Purifier would. A filter could decrease the airflow considerably. • A:Answer Vornado Window Fans are designed to be removed when the seasons change, and temperatures get cold. They close, but do not seal. Cold air will come through it.
