Try again on the question. Want to use this system as a stand alone system paired to a cheap cell phone with a unique number. Do not want to hard wire to land line as AT&T cannot seem to provide a line without static all the time. So have an otherwise unused cell phone with a unique number. Can I pair this cell phone with this product and not answer the cell phone on any of the handsets. Back door way to give this system a cell phone number. Would leave the cell phone on all the time next to the base station. Hope this clarifies the question.
