I do really like them so far. The style is very nice. The answering machine is great, the play back is very clear. I would recommend this set to anyone looking for a new phone for there home.

Robocalls don’t ring at all anymore-the system won’t allow them to. Has memory for 1000 blocked calls if needed. Great system!

Better phone than Panasonic

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They are holding a charge longer than my Panasonic phones, They are much clearer people tell me they can hear me loud and very clear compared to my last Panasonic phone, My last phone was only 2 yrs old and became junk fast, Only problem with V tech I don’t know how to use them. I can’t figure out my phone contact list, Or how to block calls either. It’s frustrating otherwise they are comfy and I like the light on top when it rings I find them easily

- A:Answer Yes the VTech IS8151 support Smart Call Blocker with one touch button on handset and base. What more, it can filter robocalls and unwanted call while allowing welcome calls to get through. For screen out robocalls, set it to ask the callers to press the pound key. For screen out unknown callers, set it to ask the callers to record their names and press the pound key. After your caller completes the request, the phone rings and announces the caller's name. You then can choose to block or answer the call, or forward the call to the answering system.

Q: QuestionDoes this system have a "Do Not Disturb" or "Quite Mode" function? If so, when engaged, does it place all phones in that mode or only the one the function was initiated on?

- A:Answer Karen - Yes, the IS8151-4 comes with a Quiet mode feature. When QUIET mode is turned on, the telephone silences all sounds during the set period of time (1-12 hours) in all registered handsets. However, the handset locator paging tone and any sound-generating operations initiated by users, such as making calls using the speakerphone or setting ringer volume, will sound as normal.

- A:Answer If you mean speaking caller ID, yes. The phone or base station will announce the caller using name if available or number if not, like "Call from John." If the caller is in your phonebook, it will use the name from the phonebook rather than the name sent by caller ID (if they're not the same), like "call from Mom."

Q: QuestionCan you hear a message as it is being left on the answering machine from the handsets? Can you then answer the call, as they are leaving the message? (My present phone system allows that and its very useful for #'s I don't recognize, but want to talk to.)
