• No. First of all, when (if) that person calls, his/her telephone number is recorded in the phonebook. Also, you can manually input telephones numbers in the phonebook when you purchase the system.

• If you’re asking if you can directly dial a number, yes you can. I never even use the phone book feature. Great little system btw. Awesome range.
