• Nick - The VTech SN5147 requires physical connection to an active landline service to work. You may need to contact the cellular phone number to check if they can port the cellular phone number to a regular landline. Thank you, -VTech Support

• You may want to try the Cell2jack - Cellphone to Home Phone Adapter. This device is supposed to let you connect your cell phone to any phone. This is what we are going to use to connect this landline phone near where my father sits during the day since there is no landline jack near his chair but his cell phone is nearby.
