I have taken these outside to garden or take out the trash and I have used the walkee talkee feature with the base unit to talk to my wife. I believe if all units are on then it goes to all of them so there wouldnt be privacy between child A and child B talking to you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s basically like having three walk-in-talkies, and two of them are only push-to-talk, and one of them is always in voice-activated mode. The “baby unit” is always transmitting audio, constantly, and it can also play audio from either of the “parent units” when one of those presses down the “push to talk” button. The parent units constantly receive audio from the baby units, but can also talk to all three units whenever the “push to talk” button is pressed. So, in your use case scenario, one child (likely the youngest one) would have the baby unit, and could always talk to you, without effort, just by calling out, and can hear what you say. The other child would have to push the button in order to talk to you, but can always hear what you and the sibling have to say without effort on their part.
