It was compatible with the one i replaced it with. My cs6729-21 which had way more features. The reason i choose Vtech was it hooked right up to the old wiring.

Please try again later.Not sure, but I would purchase the whole system brand new as usually there are technological upgrades every year to electronics and most likely not compatible with new ones. I would speak to one of the Geek Squad guys before trying to mix new and old parts. Hope this helps.
