Mike - All our single line VTech phones with built-in Answering system has a message alert tone and a visual indicator that a new message has been left. If you are referring to a Voicemail service from your telephone provider, our phones have a new voicemail indicator on the screen only. You will also hear a stutter tone before the dial tone indicating you have a new message from them provided that they are sending the proper signal. Thank you! - VTech Support
