- Answer Yes, it is compatible with VOIP. You would only have a problem if your VOIP company did not use standard phone lines. The phone jack on this model of phone is for an RCA Rj14 telephone cable. You might need a phone jack to ethernet adapter rj45 female to rj11 male for landline telephone service. They are good phones.

- Answer The base station gets plugged into the phone line cord. It sends out a wireless signal to all other handsets. The remote handsets sit in a charging cradle that needs to be plugged in to an electrical wall plug.

- Answer No, the keypad on the base does not light up. I do not see any VTech phones offered by Best Buy that have this feature.

- Answer Hi - The handset on the VTech DS6151 will only talk to the telephone base it came with. However, you can interchange them for charging purposes. If you will be connecting all 5 units on the same telephone line, you can deregister the handsets from the telephone base units and re-register them to just 1 telephone base so they will all communicate to each other. - Answer Try hit Line 1 on both. Or Line 2 on both. If you’re looking for an intercom feature where you can buzz the other, I don’t think it has that feature.

You may consider the 4-line phone model VTech CM18445, which has an auto attendant. The said feature will enable your caller to enter an extension number of the person that they would like to reach. - Answer Hi - The VTech DS6151 does not have a built-in Call Block feature. You may check the VTech DS6251 that have a Smart Call Blocker which requires Caller ID service from your telephone service provider to work.
