“This is a ethernet port biased phone correct? have bought a different type but it was connected via land line only I needed one where the connection is through the internet.”

Hi - The VTech DS6251-2 does not support Ethernet connection. The telephone system requires an RJ11 or RJ14 to functions. Thank you, -VTech Support
