QuestionWhen using both cameras in split screen, the monitor only picks up sound on 1 camera. I don’t want to use the beep notification as it’s loud and picks up everything. Is that the only way to hear both cameras though?

- Answer Hi - The VTech VM4261 is a non-expandable unit, thus you cannot add another camera to the system. If you are pertaining to the 4 panels shown on the display if you have the unit on Split View mode or the list of 4 cameras under the rename setting, it is only normal. This is because both of our expandable and non-expandable models are using the same configuration and that is why even if the unit is non-expandable it shows 4 cameras on the said settings. QuestionCan the volume be muted on this model (while the monitor is still on)? Can the screen display be turned off (while the monitor is still on)?

- Answer Meggan - No, the parent unit on the VM4261-2 cannot be muted but can be decreased to level 1. You may check VM5262 if you are interested in getting a baby monitor that can be muted. Thank you for your interest! ~VTech Support

QuestionI have this and now I’m expecting my second baby. Where can a buy another camera to go with this to be able to use the split screen? I only see it sold together with monitor and camera, not just an extra camera.

QuestionWhy is it that I cant see my baby on monitor during daytime hours ? It's like the night vision works great but when shes napping during the day it's super dark on screen.

QuestionMy monitor has died. The charging light comes on when plugged in, but otherwise it is dead. Can I just purchase a monitor some how? I have 2 perfect cameras. I’d rather not waste them. Thank you.
