Hello - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues registering the headset to the VTech CS5119-2. The headset will announce "Out of range" if it is still registered to a different base. You can manually delete the registration of the headset by completing the following steps. Step 1. Remove the headset from its base. Step 2. Press the key sequence: VOL+, ON, VOL- , ON. VOL+, VOL-, ON. Step 3. The headset LED will flash blue and red indicating it is not registered. Step 4. Register the headset to the telephone base of the CS5119-2 If you are still having issues, please contact our Consumer Sales and Service Center between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday at 1-800-595-9511.
