I bought the HP envy ×360 2 in 1 13.3 8gb ram 512gb ssd, it says it has pen software. I was having problems trying to get the hp pen to connect. I guess I bought the wrong pen. But, is the compatible to my laptop? null

Many laptops support the Microsoft Pen Protocol which the Bambook Ink Smart Stylus does as well. Using the Microsoft Pen Protocol settings the Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus should work.
