Yes it works without installing anything. Make sure you aren't touching another part of the screen when you are using it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is a Bluetooth pen, so you need to pair the pen with your device by pressing the button that's on the side of it. But turn your Bluetooth on and make it discoverable first on whatever device you are using. It was not compatible with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 so if it doesn't show up in your Bluetooth list after pressing the button, then it's probably not compatible either. Hope this helps.
