This is not an answer but an inquiry: Are by any fantastic chance THE Katie Couric? I can see how the item in question could really be a great help to you as a reporter or in the capacity of your work. Just wondering. However, I did get an answer to my question about whether or not one could write on it in the way of words, and someone said simply "Yes" but was not specific as to whether it has software which turns one's writing into Word text. So we are still back at square one.

I'm not sure if this will answer your question but it is related somewhat to the question I asked, namely "Not one person asked this question (above): I want to know if this product can be used to WRITE on, as in printing or longhand, and does it transcribe such hand-writing into text for a Word 2007 file, please? If not, what product do you have that will?" I could not copy and paste also the answer but it was basically "No this works with graphics" and there was no answer for my latter question. So I thought maybe you wanted to use it like I did, for writing purposes. (I am a writer and I can barely read my own notes which are piling up and up!) The answer they did give (you can see it beneath my question on page 7) actually contradicted what I was told by a Geek Squad person and a Chat agent, which was that it COULD be used for writing, and I nearly bought it, but am happy now that I did not, of course. So now I have lost my faith again in Best Buy, which already gives lousy phone service. I hope this helps... if not much.
