• Hi Rascal, this is a great question! This piece does produce heat, 4400 BTU actually! While it does not come with a remote, you can turn the heat on or off, and likewise with the display via switches on the front of the display. Thank you for your question!

• Hello, It can heat up to 400 sq. feet room. Flames and heat can also be controlled separately, so you can turn on the flames for ambiance without the heat if you'd like. There is no remote, but it does have a switch on the front of the unit. We hope that helps!

• It heats but there's no remote. Only a high or low or no heat setting. The fire is not adjustable in anyway.
