QuestionI know it says that a box spring is not required but does it work to actually use a box spring and the mattress? Or does it look to awkward with both?

- Answer Hello MNMOM, Thank you for your question. Per the spec on this bed, This bed frame can hold 500 lbs. Therefore, it would depend how much the box spring and the mattress weigh and the person or persons sleeping on the bed. I am not sure how it would look with both. - Answer Hi Herb, Great question! This platform bed frame is not designed to have a headboard attached to it. We have a spindle bed frame on a platform with a headboard that is very popular. You can find it by searching BBQSPINWT on Best Buy's site. Hope this helps!
