I have mine in an enclosed patio where light goes through not direct sunlight and I can say that it helps not to lose battery as fast. The battery lasts longer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They will charge to a certain degree. But you need at least 4-5 hours of direct sunlight each day to really see any advantage to the solar chargers. So far. Mine has kept the charge at or near what it was at the time of installation. I have had mine a couple of months. I'd have had to change the batteries at least twice during that period without the solar chargers. And my batteries have held firm at around 90%. You will lose 1-2 percent on rainy overcast days. Gain it back on bright sunny days. I'm skeptical on how they'll work in winter.
