• My refrigerator came with a filter, however I would suggest you purchase one to have on hand for replacement.

• A filter is in the refrigerator when you get it. You only need to buy them when due for replacement.

• The unit come with a filter already installed. But you have to change it every 6 months( depending on you use it)....
