Samsung recommends changing the filter when the Filter Indicator light on the display of your RS265 turns red. The filters are designed to last about 6 months based on average water usage of 300 gallons per month, but it may need to be changed sooner in homes with heavier usage or a high level of impurities in the water supply. If your water dispenser flow has decreased or the icemaker is not producing enough ice, it's possible the filter is clogged or partially clogged and should be replaced. - Ms. Samsung
