I have good news for you, Rae! Our parts website (https://bit.ly/3j1xG0l) confirmed that this water filter is compatible with the refrigerator model RF4287HARS. Also, for that model refrigerator, the filter indicator light is based on a timer. If you'd like to reset it, you'll need to press and hold the "Alarm" button for about 3 seconds.
